What Reckon Is

Reckon is a commercial context tool for software agencies. It helps scope, price, and deliver client software projects.

What We Collect

• Account information: email address, name, workspace name (via WorkOS AuthKit)
• Deal data: client statements, requirements, scope items, estimates, pricing, proposals — all entered by you
• Usage data: feature usage, deal counts, API call volumes (for billing and product improvement)
• Payment information: processed by Stripe; we do not store card numbers

What We Do Not Collect

• We do not infer or store client financial information (revenue, profit, budgets)
• We do not profile named individuals
• We do not access data from other workspaces

How We Use Your Data

• To provide the Reckon service (deal management, pricing, proposals)
• To enforce billing limits and entitlements
• To improve the product based on aggregate usage patterns
• To communicate service updates

Data Storage

• Deal data is stored in Google Cloud Firestore
• All access is server-side through authenticated API endpoints
• Data is scoped to your workspace; no cross-tenant access is possible

AI Processing

• AI models (Anthropic Claude) process deal data to extract evidence and suggest scope
• AI outputs are validated by deterministic code before use
• AI is never the source of truth — all facts trace to client statements or documented sources
• Model inputs are not used to train models (per Anthropic's API terms)

Data Retention

• Active workspace data is retained while your account is active
• Deleted workspaces are purged within 30 days
• Audit logs are retained for 7 years for compliance

Your Rights

• Export your deal data at any time (JSON + PDF)
• Delete your account and all associated data
• Request a copy of all data we hold about you
